PRE-RECORDED VIDEO PRESENTATIONS

IAPRI 2020 Online Conference will consist of pre-recorded video presentations of authors, keynote speakers, and sponsors. The deadline to send all your information (video, presentation/poster, and full paper) is June 1, 2020.

Oral Presentation Video

  • Pre-recorded video of 15 – 20 minutes with the transcript.
  • At the beginning of the video introduce yourself.
  • Present your work. 
    • The video may be a PowerPoint presentation with audio comments.
    • Be creative, present how you feel most confident.
    • Make sure you have good video and audio quality.
  • At the end of the video leave your contact information for further questions.
  • Send the script of your video in a word or pdf document.

Poster Presentation Video

  • Pre-recorded video of 5 – 10 minutes with the transcript.
  • At the beginning of the video introduce yourself.
  • Present your work. 
    • The video may be a PowerPoint presentation with audio comments.
    • Be creative, present how you feel most confident.
    • Make sure you have good video and audio quality.
  • At the end of the video leave your contact information for further questions.
  • Send the script of your video in a word or pdf document.

 

Here are some recommendations:

Video Recommendations

  • Use plenty of light, this can be arranged with natural light from a window or place lamps to cast the type of light you want.
  • Use a clean background. We recommend using neutral colors.
  • Use a headset or headphones for clear audio. Make sure the audio is clear and of good quality. Avoid background noise.
  • Set your camera on a sturdy surface or use a tripod to avoid shaky footage.
  • If you use your phone to capture the video, use the back camera, and record in landscape mode (horizontal).
  • Plan your script and video.
  • Do not forget to edit your video!

Video Format

  • Video 1080p (1920 x 1080)
  • Aspect Ratio 16:9
  • Accepted video formats: .mov, .mp4 or .mpeg

If the video does not comply with the requirements established, unfortunately, we won’t be able to upload your video.

Do not forget to send us your presentation, script, and video via WeTransfer, WeSendit, Gmail, or Google Drive to IAPRI2020@udem.edu and paola.caceres@udem.edu

As soon as you send us your information, please let us know so we can follow up and confirm the material you are sending.

 

FAQ

  1. I am having trouble recording my video. Can I record my presentation screen with audio? 
    • Yes, you may record your laptop’s video screen while you are explaining your PowerPoint presentation (with audio).  Make sure to add the transcript to your video, send the script, and that you have good audio quality.
  2. Is there another way to send my video without recording it?
    • Yes, you can send a PowerPoint presentation with audio on each slide. Make sure to also send the script of your video and that you have good audio quality.
  3. I am not sure to participate, I need more time to finish my video.
